TRADIE backing for Jake Kostecki at Tickford Racing

Jake Kostecki to drive #56 TRADIE Racing Ford Mustang in 2022.

09 February 2022

Workwear and lifestyle brand TRADIE will be the naming-rights sponsor of Jake Kostecki’s #56 Tickford Racing entry in 2022.

TRADIE is increasing its backing of Tickford Racing, with Kostecki’s Ford Mustang entered under the TRADIE Racing banner.

Kostecki joins Tickford Racing for what will be his second full season in Supercars, after a part season in 2020 and a full season in 2021 with Matt Stone Racing.

“I’m stoked to have TRADIE on board my Mustang this year, to represent one of the most fun brands in the sport is going to be awesome,” said Kostecki.

“They’re unapologetically Australian and love to have some fun, I like to think I fit that description and the team at Tickford definitely does, so I think we’ll be in for a blast of a year on and off the track. I really can’t wait to show off the look of the car and get my first laps in the TRADIE Mustang, it’s a really exciting time. I can’t thank the team at TRADIE enough for their support, and I’m looking forward to giving it a red hot crack once we get out there!”

Tickford Racing expands to four entries in 2022 with Kostecki joining Cameron Waters, James Courtney and Thomas Randle, the latter making his full-time main-game debut after a number of wildcard and endurance appearances with the team.

“We’ve had a tremendous relationship with TRADIE on and off the track since 2018, and are absolutely delighted to sign them up as the naming rights partner on Jake Kostecki’s Mustang for 2022,” said team principal Tim Edwards.

“TRADIE is a full-blown Aussie brand and a very fun group to work with, and Jake is a great fit to represent TRADIE, so we’re very excited to pair them up for an exciting season ahead. We’re looking forward to seeing Jake make his race debut for us in just a few weeks, and we can’t wait to have some fun both on and off the track with the gurus at TRADIE.”
