Seto honours legacy with striking livery

Matt Stone Racing has revealed a striking retro-inspired livery for Aaron Seton’s wildcard entry at next week’s NTI Townsville 500, paying tribute to one of Australian touring car racing’s most memorable championship-winning designs.

The No.30 Superior Cranes Racing Chevrolet Camaro takes its inspiration from the famous Ford Falcon driven by Aaron’s dad, Glenn Seton, to the 1993 Australian Touring Car Championship, blending the iconic colours with a modern Supercars interpretation.

The unveiling comes just days after the team confirmed Aaron Seton would replace Cameron Crick in the wildcard entry following Crick’s decision to step away from the drive and focus on his health ahead of the 2026 Supercars Enduro season.

Backed by naming-rights partner Superior Cranes, the livery celebrates three generations of the Seton family’s contribution to Australian motorsport, with Aaron continuing a racing legacy established by his father and grandfather, Bo.

The race number itself also carries special significance for Seton, who has competed with the No.30 throughout much of his career in recognition of his family’s history in the sport.

“I’ve run the number #30 a lot through my career, which was always tied back to Dad and his racing,” Seton said.

“To now get the opportunity to do a retro livery of his 1993 Championship winner is very special and something I’ll cherish for a long time. I’m delighted with the way the livery has come up and very grateful to Lachie (Lachlan Stinson) and the team at Superior Cranes for making this possible.”

Seton is also optimistic about his return to the streets of Townsville, where he enjoyed strong form during his last appearance in the Super2 Series.

“I’m looking forward to Townsville, I feel like I’m ready for it,” he said.

“It’s quite a tough track, but it’s been good to me in the past. The last time I was there was in 2023 in Super2 and we managed to get pole and finish on the podium.”

Matt Stone Racing team owner Matt Stone said the team was excited to field a three-car line-up alongside its regular entries for Jack Le Brocq and Zach Bates.

“We’re carrying some really strong momentum into Townsville and we’re excited to be taking a three-car roster up to North Queensland,” Stone said.

“The No.30 Superior Cranes Racing Camaro looks fantastic. It’s a great livery that does an awesome job of honouring an iconic piece of Australian motorsport history while giving it a modern Supercars twist.”
