Controversial Erebus Motorsport boss Barry Ryan could be sanctioned for shoving former Supercars champion Mark Winterbottom on live TV at Pukekohe Park Raceway.
Ryan and driver Will Brown clashed with Winterbottom in a heated exchange following a car-wrecking crash on the opening lap of the second race of the ITM Auckland SuperSprint.
They blamed the veteran for causing Brown to spear off into a concrete safety barrier, causing huge damage that threatens Erebus’s Repco Bathurst 1000 preparations.
Ryan was twice seen pushing Winterbottom aside as he forcefully directed him to leave the Erebus garage.
The latest PARKED UP PLUS podcast reveals that Supercars and Motorsport Australia officials are considering taking action against Ryan, who could face a charge of bringing the sport into disrepute.
