PODCAST: Final four all set for Adelaide showdown

Broc Feeney and Chaz Mostert will headline a blockbuster four-way fight for the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship, after a dramatic weekend at Sandown confirmed the first-ever finalists for the new Adelaide Grand Final.

Feeney sealed his place with a commanding victory in Sunday’s 250km race – his 13th of the season – reclaiming the momentum after a brief dip during the season of endurance. The Triple Eight star said the win was the ideal springboard into the cutthroat finale.

“I’ve been working hard to get back to this kind of form,” Feeney said.

“We knew we had to nail today, and the team gave me a rocket. I’m pumped to take this fight all the way to Adelaide.”

Mostert had already booked his place 24 hours earlier with a clinical Saturday victory built on a superb team effort. Starting alongside teammate Ryan Wood, the WAU duo controlled the early laps before Wood executed a defensive masterclass to hold back Will Brown and protect Mostert’s margin.

“I owe Woody a beer – he absolutely saved my bacon,” Mostert said.

“It was bloody hard work, but this team just keeps digging. We’re fired up for Adelaide.”

Defending champion Will Brown secured his finals berth with a determined podium drive, ensuring Triple Eight will field two title contenders. Rounding out the quartet is 20-year-old South Australian Kai Allen, whose consistency and calm under pressure have made him the surprise story of the season.

The Sandown weekend also delivered heartbreak. Cam Waters and Bathurst winner Matt Payne both saw their title hopes evaporate after high-speed contact left them with race-ending damage. Thomas Randle needed a good result in Sunday to progress but could manage only 13th.

Feeney enters Adelaide with a 20-point margin over Mostert, though the new three-race Grand Final format means the 2025 title will likely be decided entirely on Adelaide form, not season-long points.
