PODCAST: Chev set to reveal new homologation team

American car giant General Motors was expected to announce the new Chevrolet homologation team today (April 3), but this has now been postponed until Wednesday April 16 (click here for full story).

Two months after being blind-sided by Triple Eight’s impending return to Ford, General Motors is set to reveal Chevrolet’s new Supercars homologation team.

The big announcement will be made late this week, along with more details of GM’s plan to keep the Camaro on top.

With no heavyweight replacement for Triple Eight as the Chevrolet homologation team, GM is taking a different approach.

The American car giant will step in to co-ordinate what little on-going development is needed under the GM Motorsport umbrella.

Chevy still needs an official homologation team, though, and after weeks of speculation, its new nominated frontline Supercars squad is about to be revealed.

Chevrolet Racing has scheduled a media conference on Thursday morning at GM Australia and New Zealand’s headquarters in Melbourne.
