PODCAST: Blanchard Racing Team falls out of Love

In late breaking news in the Race for the Championship podcast – brought to you by VACC Automotive Apprenticeships and Supercars Travel, Blanchard Racing Team and Aaron Love have parted company.
A very brief statement was released by the BRT team simply saying: ““At the request of Aaron Love, Blanchard Racing Team and Aaron Love have mutually agreed to part ways, effective immediately.”
Love has had a number of on-track incidents at recent race meetings.
Another Aaron – Aaron Cameron, will replace Love from this weekend’s Melbourne SuperSprint at Albert Park.
Cameron drove for BRT in the 2024 Endurance Cup partnering Love and after finishing runner up in the 2024 Super 2 Series was looking forward to another endurance race campaign before the last minute call up.
“I can’t wait for my solo Supercars start this weekend, it was a bit unexpected to get the call up but I am ready to get into it,” he said.
“I know the team well from last year; I drove the car at the pre-season test and have worked with my Race Engineer Daniel Veronese in Super2 last year, so feel as prepared as I can in a situation like this.”
Team Co-Principal Tim Blanchard said he is looking forward to working with Cameron.
“Aaron did a fantastic job for BRT last year and we are looking forward to continuing the relationship this year from the AGP onwards” he said.
Further to the connection with BRT, Aaron also has an extensive association with BRT teammate James Courtney after driving for his karting team in his formative years where he won the 2018 Australian KZ2 Karting Championship.
BRT will hit the track this week for round two of the Supercars Championship with four races across the Australian Grand Prix weekend.
