Jayden Ojeda will join Todd Hazelwood in the #35 Matt Stone Racing entry at the 2022 Repco Bathurst 1000.
It will be Ojeda’s third start in the Bathurst 1000 and second for Matt Stone Racing, having driven alongside Zane Goddard with the team in 2021.
Ojeda made his solo Supercars debut in a Walkinshaw Andretti United wildcard entry at Winton this season, moving back to Matt Stone Racing following his two-event stint with Walkinshaw Andretti United.
“I am really looking forward to teaming up with Todd Hazelwood at MSR for what will be my second Bathurst 1000 start with the team,” said Ojeda.
“So far the team has had an awesome year and hopefully we can add to that in October with a great result.
“The team has made a massive step forward this year, which is really good to see.
“The expansion of personal and resources available is quite clear, and they are getting the results to show for it which has been really good.
“For me, it is really exciting to obviously be teaming up with them again and I look forward to jumping in the car.”
Ojeda’s signing completes Matt Stone Racing’s Bathurst line-up, with third-generation racer and Bathurst rookie Aaron Seton co-driving with Jack Le Brocq in the team’s other entry.
