Ford Star’s return confirmed

Popular Supercars veteran Mark Winterbottom will return to Tickford Racing next year as a co-driver in the endurance races.

Winterbottom and team co-owner Rod Nash confirm the reunification in the latest Race For The Championship podcast, powered by VACC Automotive Apprenticeships.

Frosty finished his fulltime Supercars career at the Adelaide 500 after six years – and a notable race win – with GM aligned Team 18.

He is going back to the Ford team where he starred, winning the 2013 Bathurst 1000 and 2015 Supercars championship.

Special correspondent Michael Lynch got the big ‘scoop’ from Frosty and Tickford Racing co-owner Rod Nash, both confirming their reunification. 

Winterbottom will be officially announced as Cam Waters’ 2025 enduro co-driver this week.

Also in the big final ep of Race For The Championship, V8 legend Dick Johnson declares that DJR’s rebuild around Brodie Kostecki will take his team back to the top “Before I die”.

And Brad Jones clarifies BJR sale rumours – sort of.
