Coulthard joins Walkinshaw Andretti United for Bathurst

Warren Luff and Fabian Coulthard locked in as Walkinshaw Andretti United’s Bathurst co-drivers.

22 February 2022

Walkinshaw Andretti United has announced its 2022 Repco Bathurst 1000 line-up, with Fabian Coulthard and Warren Luff confirmed as co-drivers for the Holden team.

Coulthard competed full-time in Supercars from 2008, including two years at Walkinshaw Racing in 2010 and 2011, missing out on a spot on the 2022 grid with the change of ownership at former home Team Sydney.

Coulthard replaces Lee Holdsworth in the line-up, with the latter returning to the grid on a full-time basis with Grove Racing after winning Bathurst alongside Chaz Mostert at Walkinshaw Andretti United.

Luff rejoins the team for a ninth consecutive season, fresh off the back of his top-five Bathurst finish alongside Bryce Fullwood in 2021.

Just who Coulthard and Luff will pair with, either Nick Percat or Mostert, will be confirmed closer to Bathurst.

“It’s great to be joining Walkinshaw Andretti United for 2022, the team is on the move and I’m really excited to see what we can do together at Bathurst this year,” said Coulthard.

“When I found out in January that I wasn’t going to be driving in a full-time capacity in 2022, my focus then changed to aligning myself with what I think is the best opportunity to win at Bathurst, and that was here.”

“There’s a few familiar faces from when I was here in 2010 and 2011, so it will be great to work with those guys again, as well as Chaz, Nick and Luffy.”
