Cold Chisel are celebrating their 50th anniversary and are bringing ‘The Big Five-0’ concert tour to the 2024 VAILO Adelaide 500 on Sunday 17 November.

Cold Chisel will take a lap around Australia before culminating in the city where the band formed.

Their anniversary provides scope for a show that features all the classic songs with which Cold Chisel carved their unique place in Australian rock history – Khe Sanh, Bow River, Flame Trees, You Got Nothin’ I Want, When The War Is Over, My Baby, Cheap Wine, All For You, Choir Girl, Last Wave Of Summer, Saturday Night, Breakfast At Sweethearts, Forever Now and so many more.

Jimmy Barnes said: “Some of the best moments of my life have been spent on stage with Cold Chisel and I hope we keep going ‘til the day we drop. I can’t wait to celebrate our 50th anniversary with our Adelaide fans who have been such a big part of our story from the beginning. We’re gonna smash it.”

VAILO Adelaide 500’s event and concert manager Brian Gleeson OAM said: “We are so thrilled to have rock icons Cold Chisel perform at the 25th event. We have had many amazing artists perform over the years at the After Race Concerts and this year is set to be the biggest by far.”

Supporting Cold Chisel on the Sunday night will be ARIA Award winning chart toppers The Cruel Sea and hometown rock heroes The Superjesus plus opening acts provided by Music SA.

The VAILO Adelaide 500 after race concert series is set to open to a bumper post-race crowd, with Crowded House announced as the headline act for Saturday 16 November.

In a first for the event, the Australasian band will take to the stage to perform their hits, igniting music and motorsport fans alike as the event celebrates 25 years.

Selling more than 15 million albums globally, Crowded House have received numerous prestigious accolades across four decades including 13 ARIA Awards.

Award-winning Australian artist Meg Mac will be joining them on the lineup as the support.
