Van Gisbergen stands on the brink of the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship win, holding a 567-point championship lead entering the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 following his and Garth Tander’s win in the Repco Bathurst 1000.

Van Gisbergen’s win was his 19th of the 2022 season, breaking Scott McLaughlin’s record of most wins in a season (18 in 2019). All van Gisbergen needs to do is hold onto a 300-point championship lead following the two races on the Gold Coast. Cameron Waters is the only driver still in championship contention in second place in the standings, following a third place at Bathurst.

The program features the event schedule, preview, entry list, driver profiles, circuit guide, records, support category previews and entry lists and more, all free to read.

After hosting two-driver per car endurance events since 2010, the Gold Coast switches to a single-driver per car format for the first time since 2009 this season.

There will be two 250-kilometre races, which are Race 31 and 32 of the 2022 season, with top 10 Shootouts for both races.

Dunlop’s soft tyres will be used exclusively across the event with two compulsory pitstops per entry in each race.

Open wheelers return to the streets of the Gold Coast with the S5000 Tasman Series supporting the Repco Supercars Championship, alongside the Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia and Haltech V8 SuperUte Series.
