The Repco Supercars Championship returns to South Australia at the OTR The Bend SuperSprint, with the chasing pack determined to close the gap on championship leader Shane van Gisbergen.

Van Gisbergen arrives at The Bend Motorsport Park with a 262-point lead in his bid for a third title.

Anton De Pasquale, Will Davison, Cameron Waters and Chaz Mostert are van Gisbergen’s closest competitors, though they will need to get back to winning ways to claw back on the championship leader.

The OTR The Bend SuperSprint takes place on the 4.95km long International Circuit at The Bend Motorsport Park, one of seven configurations at Australia’s only circuit to comply with the latest FIA Grade 2 and FIM Category A standards.

The OTR The Bend SuperSprint consists of three 115-kilometre races – Race 21, 22 and 23 of the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship.

The grid for Saturday’s Race 21 will be determined by a three-part knockout qualifying format, while Sunday’s Race 22 and 23 will be set by a single qualifying session each.

Dunlop’s soft tyre will be used exclusively across the event, with a compulsory pitstop for a minimum of two tyres for each race.

The on-track support bill includes the Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia, Haltech V8 SuperUte Series, Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series, Precision National Sports Sedans Series and Historic Touring Cars (Group N).
